Live Staking 1/24

Volunteers will live stake banks near South Mills River Road in Mills River on Jan 24th 2025 at 1 pm. Back-up date is January 31st in case of inclement weather. Live staking helps stabilize the banks and prevents erosion. An email will be sent with directions to those who register.

Hendersonville Water Treatment Facility (WTF) Tour: 1/15

The tour on 1/15/25 at 1 pm is full.

Join Mills River Partnership and the facility manager, Ricky Levi, of the Hendersonville WTF to learn about the processes your drinking water goes through before it comes out of your faucets. What is sedimentation and coagulation? You will learn all about it on this tour and more! RSVP required.

With the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, understanding our water systems is more important than ever. Participants from any county are welcome to join us. There are a limited number of spots available for this tour.

Join us on December 13th for an afternoon of live staking bank restoration projects in Mills River, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Come out to support the restoration of the banks of the beautiful Mills. This is our rescheduled date.

Volunteer with us for a river clean-up in the Mills River watershed by land on 12/10 at 10 am until 12 pm. We will provide trash bags and gloves.
